The Bubbly Type at AGHA Gift Fair 2025 ✨
And just like that – our very first trade show is done and dusted! We recently wrapped up an incredible five days at the AGHA Gift Fair 2025 in Melbourne, and wow… what an experience.
For those who don’t know, the AGHA Gift Fair is Australia’s premier trade event for the gift and homewares industry. It’s where retailers from across the country come to discover new products, meet independent makers, and stock their stores with unique, design-led pieces. For us at The Bubbly Type, it was our debut into the wholesale world – and it was nothing short of amazing!
A Big Milestone for The Bubbly Type 🌈
Until now, you’ve mostly found us at craft markets in Melbourne or shopping directly through our online store. But stepping into the wholesale side of things was a huge (and exciting!) leap forward. We met so many wonderful retailers, had endless chats about our Australian made stationery and gifts, and even became a finalist for Best New Stand!
Being recognised amongst so many talented brands was a pinch-me moment – and such a boost of encouragement for our little business.
What We Learned 💡
Trade shows are a whole new ballgame compared to weekend markets. Instead of chatting with individual customers, we were talking to shop owners, buyers, and business owners about what makes The Bubbly Type special. We definitely picked up plenty of tips for next time (yes, there will be a next time!) – from the best way to display products, to the practicalities of back-to-back days on our feet.
Most of all, we came away with a renewed excitement for spreading colourful, joy-filled stationery across Australia.

One of the most exciting parts? We’re now busy packing wholesale orders for some truly lovely new shops around the country. That means you’ll soon be able to find Bubbly goodies in even more places!

What’s Next? ✨
The AGHA Gift Fair was just the beginning of this new chapter for us. We’ll still be popping up at our favourite local craft markets (because we adore meeting you in person!), but now you’ll also start spotting our greeting cards, notebooks, sun catchers, and stickers in shops across Australia.
